WELCOME TO LADDER HOMES
Ladder Homes is a Christian-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which provides supportive, independent living for adults with chronic mental illness.
Ladder combines permanent, affordable housing with a wide range of supportive services. This support system provides a safety net by maintaining regular contact with each resident, assisting in problem solving, as well as encouraging community connections through employment, volunteering, and building relationships. This, by all accounts, provides the most successful environment for people struggling with chronic mental illness.
In 1990, Ladder Homes was established by a group of parents of adult children with mental illness. Today, Ladder has three facilities in Holland, Michigan serving 20 residents. In 2007, we formalized our free outreach program to continue to empower independence with former residents and increased our ability to serve non-resident adults with mental illness.
Ladder Homes Exec Director Jonathan Book and his family
